Welcome

Hey! I’m Lizzie. I was born in the Midlands but have lived on the Isle of Wight since childhood, and it’s a place that has shaped so much of my imagination and writing.

I’m 30, a mum of two, and I’ve always loved stories, especially folklore, mysteries, local legends and anything with a slightly strange or magical edge. The Isle of Wight has no shortage of those, and many of its places, people and old tales have inspired my work.

My debut book, The Wightfolk Tales, is a collection of short stories inspired by Isle of Wight folklore, legends and mysteries. It’s due to be released at the end of this year, and I’m really excited to finally start sharing more about it.

I’m currently working on the second collection of Wightfolk Tales, as well as an adult fiction novel.

I’ll be using this website to share book news, writing updates, local stories, research and anything else I find interesting along the way.
